MUVINA - an international wine exhibition
One of the prestigious activities of the museum is the regular organisation of a competitive wine exhibition Muvina, which has become one of the most trusted exhibitions for wine producers. Wines arrive from all around the world and wine specialists - enologists - are invited from various countries to taste wines and to award them with medals. A 100-point evaluation system, recommended for international competitions by the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (O.I.V.), based in Paris, is used. Any wines of any categories may enter the competition - white, rosé and red wines, sparkling wines as well as wines "under veil". The competition won the patronage of the O.I.V. several years ago, which now ranks it among official international wine competitions. The competition has applied for a registration within the EU, which will secure its full acceptation around the world. Especially for domestic producers, that offers an excellent opportunity to confront their qualities with international leaders.
